Evening Workshop Botanical Plaster Frieze 6.30-9.30pm

Evening Workshop Botanical Plaster Frieze 6.30-9.30pm

£120.00Price

Join us for a relaxed day spent working with nature at Alby Crafts & Gardens. Suitable for beginners, you will create 3 different Botanical friezes from start to finish using various casting, painting & glazing techniques.

We will start the day with a tea or coffee and I will go through some of the basics with you, we will then go for a walk in the gardens collecting samples to use in our botanical castings before heading back to the studio to begin creating our castings.  All materials, tuition, entrance to the gardens & light refreshments are included, please note that the finish time is approximate and we may finish a little later or earlier depending on drying times & how we progress throughout the day.  Aprons will be provided but please wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty as we will be working with plants, clay & plaster.  Please note that the Artisan Cafe on site is not open on Mondays or Tuesdays so you will need to bring a packed lunch with you, alternatively there is a M&S garage or Starbucks 5 mins up the road.  Light refreshments of tea, coffee, bottled water & snacks such as cake, biscuits & fruit are provided, please do let me know if you have any food allergies and I will make sure that there are some suitable snacks available for you.

We will be creating 3 different castings each & you should be able to take at least one of your castings home with you on the day, any castings that aren't dry in time can be collected the following day or at any point in the future or can be posted onto you at cost.
